Project 06

  1. Hi Bri,

So my favorite piece was your first one where you explored complementary colors. I thought the composition was very well put together and aesthetically pleasing. I also like how bright and vibrant the colors are, they enhance the contrast between complements. I like the blue/violet/yellow pice on Buckley Field but I'm not sure whether it exhibits simultaneous contrast like the way you had expected- I think violet and blue are a little too similar in temp/val/sat etc. Overall, even though there wasn't like a obvious, linear flow, I think they were all pretty cohesive and flowed from one piece to another though unity

  2. The most visually striking for me was the analogous color scheme. The delineation between the sky and the buildings were nice, and it made the buildings pop from the sky. Yet they didn't blend together.

The least visually striking for me was the simultaneous contrast on page four. This could be because I cannot see simultaneous contrast. However, even the buildings seem bland, only blocks of color with no visible delineations that make it seem like they are actually buildings.

The continuity was very nice, except for the first page. The first page does not seem to belong; the others are buildings with a nice flow, and the first seems to be an abstract pattern.
